Pray for: 500 First Time Guests in 2025

This year, we are seeking to see 500 first-time guests come through the doors of New City Church. This goal isn't simply about having 500 people; it represents 500 individuals who may not know Christ hearing the gospel proclaimed. We want to reach our city with the good news of Jesus, and part of that is inviting people into the body of Christ.

Ways to pray:

• Pray that God would bring 500 new people to New City to hear the gospel this year, perhaps for the first time.

• Pray that God would ignite a burden for the lost in the hearts of our people, and that they would invite others and share the good news of Jesus.

• Pray that first-time visitors would experience the love of Christ and find connections and community with God’s people.

Example Prayer:

God, You know each person by name. You number our days and direct our paths. We praise You because You are set apart, holy, and perfect. You sent us Your Son and gave us the good news of the gospel!

I confess that I struggle to invite others out of fear of hearing “no.” I confess that I can let other people's opinions of me keep me from living missionally.

Thank You, God, that there is no condemnation for those who trust in You. You are the one who saves, and You call me to simply be obedient.

God, I pray that You would put people in my path to invite, both today and throughout the rest of this year. Not only would You place them in my path, but give me the boldness to invite them and share Your good news with them. I ask that You would help us at New City to invite and see 500 first-time guests in 2025.

We know You are able, so we ask in Jesus' name, amen.
