Pray for: Salvation

Each Sunday, we preach the Word of God and trust that He is bringing someone into His family through the proclamation of His Word—whether through a sermon or the sharing of the gospel. We exist as a church to see Jesus change lives, and we pray earnestly for that to become reality.

Ways to Pray:

• We pray that we would see the lost saved.

• We pray that those who are far from God would be brought near to Him through the blood of Christ—and that we at New City would be a witness to the power and love of God in the lives of those around us.

• We pray that God will save our friends, families, and coworkers who do not yet know Him.

Example Prayer:

Dear God,
You hold all power to save. You are holy and without sin, and for that, we praise and worship You. You are worthy because You are holy.

God, I confess that I sometimes think I have the power to save. I know I don’t, but I still carry that weight, which keeps me from sharing or inviting others to hear the good news.

Thank You for making a way for us to be saved through Your Son, Jesus. He is the only way for us to be in relationship with You.

Today, I pray that we would see people place their trust in You—that they would move from death to life, and that we would rejoice with the angels (Luke 15:10). God, we pray for that one person You bring to mind who doesn’t know You—may today be the day they come to faith.

You have the power to save. Today, we ask You to do that, King Jesus.
