Pray for: Intentional Discipleship

A value at New City Church is that we would pursue and see intentional discipleship taking place. We want to see a movement of disciples making disciples, and in order for that to happen, we must be intentional with our discipleship. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus, following His commands to teach one another His commands and love as He has loved.

Ways to Pray:

• Pray that we would see people be known and led to follow the teachings and commands of Scripture.

• Pray that each person at New City would be intentional with someone in raising them up into maturity in Christ.

• Pray that we would see people grow in their faith through being known and discipled.

Example Prayer:

God, you are the one who clothes the lilies in beauty. You are the one who commands the waves and the sea. You control the growth in crops an in people. You alone are in control.

I confess that I think I am in control with a simple plan can bring about growth. Unless you will it God, it will not happen.

I am thankful that you give us a Helper in the Holy Spirit to guide us and direct us as we seek to live for you. Guide us, God of all wisdom in how we live for you and lead others to do the same.

We ask that you give us wisdom on how to intentionally pour into those around us. Help us write your words on our hearts and share them with others. God I pray for endurance to keep running the race you have called me to run, making disciples as long as I have breath.

In your name Jesus I pray, amen.
