God Set Apart and Used Sinful Samson for His Purposes

Judges 13-14 | Pastor Eric Hovis | 11/05/23

In this week’s message the Unraveled Revival continues in Judges 13-14. Pastor Eric Hovis discusses how God used Samson despite Samson’s sin.

In chapter 13, we see the story of Samson’s birth and how he will begin to save Israel from the hand of the Philistines. Samson began in Judges, what Jesus finished at the cross, leading us to ask “Are you in awe of Jesus?”.

In chapter 14, we see the story of Samson’s marriage and how his own desires led him into temptation and sin. Like Samson we are faced with a similar question, whose desire are we going to follow, the Lord’s desire or our own?

Key takeaways:

  • The fruits of the Spirit are just as important as the gifts of the Spirit.

  • God’s grace is greater than our sin.

  • We need a better savior.
