Pray for: A Total of 10 City Groups in 2025

City Groups at New City are weekly gatherings for care, connection, and spiritual growth. They help deepen our relationships with each other and with God, playing a vital role in the life of our church. Pray that God would continue to use City Groups to strengthen our community—and ask Him to raise up new leaders and members so we can reach our goal of 10 City Groups this year:

1. Pray for deeper connection and encouragement in City Groups.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together… but encouraging one another.” —Hebrews 10:24–25
Ask God to strengthen the bonds within City Groups, that they would be places of true encouragement, accountability, and love.

2. Pray for God to raise up leaders and members for 10 City Groups this year.
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” —Luke 10:2
Ask God to call and equip faithful leaders and draw new members into life-giving community. Pray with bold faith that He would provide everything needed to multiply to 10 City Groups this year.

3. Pray for those not yet in a City Group.
“God sets the lonely in families…” —Psalm 68:6
Ask God to draw in those who are on the margins or feeling isolated. Pray they would find belonging, growth in the community of a City Group.

Example Prayer:

Lord, we love because You first loved us. In You, we have the example of goodness by which we live. Your strength powers our actions, and Your promises guide our hopes. Lord, bless our City Groups.

We pray over the leaders—that they would depend more fully on You, that Your Spirit would move within them, and that You would grow them in their ability to teach and in their capacity to care.

Lord, we pray that You would raise up new leaders, that the momentum of the response to Your grace would be overwhelming, and that people would give of their time and life to serve You through serving others.

We pray that our City Groups would grow—that there would be ten groups by the end of this year, and that new believers would find godly community within New City.

You are Lord over all, and nothing is beyond Your will. Let us trust and depend more fully on You.
