In witnessing Jesus’ willingness to be betrayed, mocked, and unjustly tried, let us thank Him for His steadfast commitment to saving the lost. Let us see and praise Jesus as the Son of God, the Savior of the world! Reflecting on the passage from this past Sunday, here are some key promises from God's Word that we can pray:
Pray that we would be quick to confess our sins when we fall short—choosing not to live in shame, but in the forgiveness that comes through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.
Pray that we wouldn’t deny Christ in moments of hardship.
Pray that we would look to Jesus and have peace and strength in the face of betrayal.
Example Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We praise You for Your faithfulness to us. We thank You for sending us a Savior—Your only Son—who went to the cross on our behalf and bore the death we deserved.
I confess that when I sin, I often forget to dwell on the truth that You have already paid the price for me. Help me not to fall into a cycle of shame, but to confess my sins and walk in repentance, trusting that Your grace is sufficient.
Thank You for the throne of grace that we can approach at all times. Thank You that salvation belongs to You alone, the Savior of the world. May we be bold enough to share this truth with those who do not yet know You.
Today, I pray that we would remember the pain Jesus endured for us—because of His great love and His submission to the will of the Father. May we reflect on this beautiful love story and remember the forgiveness offered to us through Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary.
In His holy name I pray, amen.
