God Longs For Authentic Community Of Faith

Judges 17-18 | Pastor Eric Hovis | 11/19/23

In this week’s message the Unraveled Revival continues in Judges 17-18. Pastor Eric Hovis discusses how in seeing the unraveling community in Judges 17-18 we know God longs for an authentic community of faith.

In chapter 17, we see Micah return silver that he stole from his mother, them create an idol out of a portion of the silver, then make a wandering Levite their priest.

In chapter 18, the tribe of Dan enters the story looking for a home. Micah welcomes them but they take his treasured possessions including the priest and the idol.

Key takeaways:

  • An authentic community is a unified community.

  • An authentic community is a content community.

  • An authentic community is a generous community.

  • An authentic community submits to the Lord in all things.

  • An authentic community is passionate about Jesus.
